Awkwafina

Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first music experience. She was a trumpet player. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. In college, she focused on her studies, and then studied women's studies and journalism. For a brief period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. Her focus shifted to music once she finished her studies. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. This album also featured viral hits such as the body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour New York Bitche$. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. The singer decided to make acting careers after having completed her two previous endeavors, author and musician. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018, with several high profile films, including Dude Ocean's Eight as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
