Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden is the third out of five siblings who were born in La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was her maternal grandmother. Thad Harden who was serving in the army service, was the father. They moved a lotShe first began to be interested in theatre while the family was in Greece as she had attended plays in Athens. Harden began college in Europe at American colleges and eventually moved to the US and completed her education at the University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA at NYU. The actress had acted in one movie in 1986 in The Imagemaker, but her first major role was in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers funny, humorous tribute to gangster films. Harden's sultry portrayal of Verna who was a mysterious, seductive moll, received positive reviews. Harden then continued to perform consistently as a supporting character, such as playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) the biopic for television about Frank Sinatra.
